You may be having problems with an old chimney where the pointing has become loose or there's a large crack across several bricks and it's likely to fall down in the next storm. You can either choose to have the chimney repaired or if you don't use the chimney anymore, the more sensible & often less costly option is chimney stack removal.

What's involved in Chimney Stack Removal?

Every chimney is different, depending on where it's situated and how large it is, but these are the main steps in removing a chimney stack:

• For safe access, scaffolding or an access tower would be used to reach the chimney stack.
• The chimney pot(s) & then the brickwork would be removed to just below the roofline.
• You may wish to keep the chimney pot to use as a flower planter (some older ones are very ornate), but we are happy to remove all waste materials as part of the job.
• The roof will be repaired with new roof timbers and felt to cover the hole and then finished with matching roof tiles.
